Microresidency: Yakushima

Kodo Chijiiwa, founder and director of the Yakushima Photography Festival, hosted Pomme for a week at the end of November 2024 for an in-depth discovery of this mythical island that inspired Hayao Miyazaki for the film Princess Mononoke. During her stay, she was able to fully immerse herself with the island’s inhabitants, explore its artistic scene, and delve into the depths of the ancient forest with an exceptional guide. A series of photographs of Pomme were also taken by Kodo Chijiiwa on this occasion.
