Project

Tales from the Plasmodium Network

Mimosa Echard’s project was about the naturalist and ethnologist Minakata Kumagusu (1867–1941), fungi and myxomycetes or slime mould: peculiar organisms that occupy a unique place in the life sciences and in ecological, futuristic and post-apocalyptic fantasies. It considered past and current research into fungi and myxomycetes, and investigated interconnections between the human race, nature and the environment.
